2011 The Giving Quilt Guild Challenge

  • Submit a block, suitable for a child’s quilt (3 years old to teenager), at a participating guild meeting. The guild will present a challenge award for a winning block.
  • Blocks are exchanged by means of a drawing among the participants.  Each participant completes a quilt using the exchanged block.
  • Completed quilts are due at another guild meeting. A small ribbon is pinned to the exchanged block that inspired the quilt. The guild will present a challenge award for the winning quilt.
  • Each quilt is donated to the charitable organization of the quilter’s choice and displayed at the Giving Quilt show on May 7, 2011, at the St. Gabriel Community Center as a challenge quilt.  A small ribbon is pinned to the exchanged block that inspired the quilt. The Giving Quilt will present a viewer’s choice cash award in the challenge category at the show.
  • Quilt donation forms and the recipient list may be found and printed from the bottom of http://www.thegivingquiltinc.org/donations. For more information, please contact a Giving Quilt board member at thegivingquiltinc@gmail.com.
